How much does this usually cost?
It depends on your age, your health and how much cover you need — but the honest answer is that it is usually less than people expect. We start from what your family would actually need, then work backwards to a monthly figure you are comfortable with. If that number does not fit your budget, I will tell you, instead of selling you something you cannot sustain.
Do I have to buy anything?
No. The check is free and there is no obligation at any point. Plenty of the people I talk to leave with a clearer picture and nothing else, and that is a perfectly good outcome.
I already have coverage through work. Is that not enough?
It is a good start, and for some people it is enough. The catch is that it usually ends when the job does, and the amount was set by your employer rather than by your family’s actual needs. Worth ten minutes to check what yours covers.
How long does this take?
The online check takes about two minutes. If you want to go deeper after that, we talk for 30–45 minutes — over coffee or on a video call, whichever suits you.
What if I am not ready yet?
Then you are not ready, and that is fine. Knowing your numbers costs you nothing today, and it makes the decision easier whenever you do get there.
